Application context with Backstage software catalog

Snyk can consume Backstage files and utilize key fields for searching, setting policies, and providing application context.

Integration settings configured by Snyk administrator

• Within your Group's Integrations page, select the relevant SCM integration.
  • Enable "Add Backstage Catalog" within the SCM settings.
  • Optionally, if the Backstage catalog filename in your repository is not catalog-info.yaml you can change the default value in the Backstage catalog filename field
  • Add attributes you'd like to see reflected within Snyk. These values will enrich your asset inventory and allow you to sort, filter, and apply policies with greater accuracy and intention.
